If gender and sex are supposed to be two different things, what would be the point of transitioning? Why would anyone have to try and forcibly change their biological characteristics to match their “gender” if it's a "social construct?"

There is no point. Transgender ideology is nothing more than a contradiction, at best. But that does not matter to the Biden Administration because they have just awarded two speech therapy experts and a trans professor over $200,000 to research and create a "transgender voice training app."

Yes, this is what the Leader of the Free World has decided to spend money on. And no, it does not seem as if he believes the Southern Border deserves more resources.

According to The Post Millennial:

A transgender professor and two speech therapy experts have been awarded over $200,000 by the National Institutes of Health to research and create a "transgender voice training app" that aims, in part, to help biological males sound more feminine.

Taxpayer funds from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders awarded a team from the University of Cincinnati $213,878 to create the software.

The abstract of the study states, "Transgender and gender diverse people exhibit a significantly lower quality of life than the general public. One reason for this is voice dysphoria: distress because a person’s voice does not match their gender identity (e.g., trans women with deep voices)."

And today I think we all learned that “voice dysphoria” is a thing.

If someone is seriously distressed because they hate their voice that much - that sounds like nothing more than a personal problem.

This ideology is entirely superficial. They must sound more feminine, to help “affirm” their degenerate thoughts. But sounding feminine is subjective to begin with since all voices are different. But voice has nothing to do with defining gender and it’s incredibly moronic that we are spending this much money on that when so many Americans are suffering with real-life problems - not “voice dysphoria.” But unfortunately, that takes precedence over families having trouble putting food on the table.

If you want to change your voice that bad, it should not be done on the taxpayer's dime. But we are supposed to believe this is today’s most pressing issue of our time.

Once someone starts changing their biological and innate characteristics to match their "gender identity" that de facto turns biology into a "social construct" and "gender identity" into universal truth. That is why they say things like "sex assigned at birth." Because they truly want people to acquiesce to the notion that sex is binary and "gender identity" is immutable - even though that couldn't be further from the truth.
