Surprise! Gun Sales SURGE in LGBT Community Following Orlando...
Gun sales spiking after a tragedy isn't shocking, Unless you're a liberal blogger or on the editorial team of the New York Times, when something bad happens your first thought is how best to protect yourself and your family. What makes it different in this case? A lot of those sale are coming from the LGBT community...
However, what’s different this time around is the clientele. Mike Smith, a firearms instructor in Colorado Springs, is one of many closely tracking the sudden surge in gays and lesbians buying weapons.“I think right now because of what happened, people are looking for answers,” he said. “You walk into a gun shop and you expect to see people, frankly, who look like me. I think we forget we’re a country of all people, not just people who fit that predetermined mold.”
The Pink Pistols is a national gun club for gays and lesbians. It saw its membership soar from about 1,500 members on Saturday to 3,500 on Monday.
Dozens of new chapters are springing up, including one Smith is creating in Colorado Springs. He said it’s something he feels compelled to do, even though he’s heterosexual.
It looks like people are taking our advice. You also have gay gun rights groups like the Pink Pistols seeing a surge in their membership. We're not using hyperbole here. When we say SURGE, we mean in three days, the Pink Pistols gained 2,000 new members. Bearing in mind the LGBT community makes up, at most, 3.8% of the population, that's a monumental number. Which means across the country, the answer to the question might actually be "Not happy to see you. It's a giant gun, bitch."
Here's a key point though from this gun right's advocate, who the leftist media would happily paint as a "hater."
“I look at it as a disenfranchised minority that needs someone who’s willing to say I’m a resource who’s here and willing to help,” Smith told KDVR.
Remember Smith's offer to help the LGBT community while lefists try to paint all gun owners as homophobic rednecks. Here we have a cis-white male gun-owner. Offering to help the LGBT community protect themselves.
In other words, this is the left's narrative today:
Yes, any excuse to use this GIF. I make no apologies.
I've made this point before and I'll make it again, because it bears repeating. Those of us in the straight community do not, as the left has tried to say thousands of times, "hate" the LGBT community. Do I mock them? Of course. But look around, everyone gets mocked here. I mock because I care. At no point have I ever wished death or violence on the LGBT community. I reserve wishful death for pedophiles. And unhelpful tech support.
Like Mike Smith referenced above, most, and I mean an overwhelming majority of gun-owning Americans, want people to have the ability to defend themselves. Regardless of sexual orientation.
As Americans, we stand together against our enemies. Our enemy, in this case, is radical Islam. So arm up, get guns, buy ammo.
For laughs, here's one of my all time favorite Crowder videos. You're welcome.
