This may surprise all of you at home, but not everything about TikTok is terrible. Videos on the app could be used to track down registered sex offenders who may be looking to recommit the crime. This is what happen to a mother who caught a man videotaping her daughter at a Walmart.

It's important to follow the dates on these videos. The first video is from August 8. The mother films a man she caught recording her and her young daughter, who then ran away once he discovered he was being recorded. "'I don't know if he's just some weirdo. I don't know if he's on drugs or drunk, or if he's part of some trafficking thing, but always be aware of your surroundings and record and report."

The second video is from early on August 9. The mother came back from filing a police report. When the video went viral, the man was identified as a registered sex offender who was arrested for molestation and rape. The man was currently on parole, and the mother was on her way back from giving her video and the Walmart security footage to his parole officer.

This last video is from later on in the day August 9, after police had visited the woman's house. Turns out the creep wasn't on parole. His parole ended...on August 7. And the next day, the guy was in Walmart trying to creep on a little girl. For what it's worth, however, the creep wasn't after the little girl. He was after the mom.

No, that did not make the woman feel better.
