It’s unclear why the left believes that a person should automatically be granted special privileges at the expense of Americans just because they have broken federal immigration laws, but that reality could not be more evident in the State of Washington.

Washington state Democrats have passed a bill prioritizing criminal aliens for pardons and commutations. It’s unclear why they are more worthy of this than American citizens, but you don’t need any more evidence that the left despises the people they pretend to represent.

Washington state passed a bill on Tuesday that would move illegal immigrant criminals to the top of the list for pardons and commutations. This is as the Trump administration enhances nationwide immigration enforcement efforts. House Bill 1131, introduced by Democrats, passed with a vote of 50 to 46. All Republican lawmakers voted against the bill, while only 7 Democrats opposed it, according to records.

The text of the bill reads: "If a petitioner indicates in the petition an urgent need for the pardon or commutation including, but not limited to, a pending deportation order or deportation proceeding, the board shall consider expedited review of the application."

I am having trouble seeing why there was a dire need for these foreign nationals to get special privileges while Americans were not even given a second thought.

You would think that even if the left believes no human is illegal and they deserve special rights, that would at least not include those that have broken laws post facto, but that only makes them double down. It’s incredible the lengths these people go to defend those who show no respect for federal and state laws, while they slap Americans in the face.

I am also having trouble seeing how this makes law-abiding residents safer. Not only is their intent to put criminals back on the street, but it’s done so without even pretending to care about the safety of the general population. So, while the left pretends to be on the side of compassion, they end up putting the most vulnerable people at risk. And the fact that they believe this puts them on the right side of history is pathetic, yet deeply predictable.
