The 2022 midterms are going to be a wave election. Until we wake up on November 9th and are proven otherwise, all indicators show voters don't like what Joe Biden's democrat party is selling. This makes sense since under Joe Biden's democrat economy people can't afford to buy anything. Everyone is focused on swing state Senate races like in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. But could the GOP be looking at a pickup in WASHINGTON?

According to a new Trafalgar poll... maybe. Progressive Senator Patty Murray is statistically tied with her Republican challenger.

In wave elections, if the wave is big enough it takes out incumbents that are surprising. Taking out Patty Murray would be a huge surprise. And this is a poll I'd be inclined to shrug off if the Cook Report hadn't also moved the neighboring Oregon Governor's race to a toss-up.

Then I got to thinking. Crime is a HUGE albatross around Democrats' necks. Even Jen Psaki says "[Democrats] also know that crime is a vulnerability, perhaps, one of the biggest vulnerabilities." The Pacific Northwest has been a breeding ground for the leftist defund the police/criminal justice reform movement. This counts triple in cities like Portland and Seattle.

At LwC, we're fond of pointing out to progressive voters who vote for progressive politicians to enact progressive policies that these are the consequences of your voting. You can't get upset at the crime and homelessness and human poop on the streets when you insist on voting for the same "leaders" over and over again.

Could voters in the Pacific Northwest be waking up to reality? We'll find out in forty-two days.
