Veronica Garcia is the new Washington State girls' champion in the 400-meter race. Regretfully, the girls Veronica beat aren't happy for her. I'm guessing it's because Veronica used to be Donovan Brown. As we've seen over and over and over again, when a boy transitions to a girl they also transition into being a track and field champion. Go figure.

The former Mr. Brown beat all the other girls by a full second. I get the transition from Donovan to Veronica. Unclear is the transition from Brown to Garcia. Maybe besides being transgender, they/them are also translatinx. Either way, it's just another day in the office.

Not everyone agreed. The boos rang down from the stands. Yes, even in deep blue Washington.
