WATCH: Citizens Eating Out of Garbage Truck in the Socialist Paradise of Venezuela
In the socialist paradise of Venezuela, there are many fine dining establishments: the streets, an animal shelter, zoo, or if you're really feeling fancy, a garbage truck. Starvation is how socialism always ends. For the people. Not so much the ruling class who installs socialist policies. No, no, just the people unfortunate enough not to be born wealthy. This was the video that got Jorge Ramos detained in Venezuela on Monday. It's in Spanish, but the visual still speaks volumes.
It would appear Bernie SandersAlexandria Ocasio-Cortez Nicolas Maduro didn't want to see this.
In a Facebook video published after his release, Ramos revealed that he had asked Maduro if he could be called a “dictator.” Then, at the end of the interview, he said he showed a video of kids looking for food in the trash to the Venezuelan leader. Maduro was not impressed and tried to close the iPad to avoid viewing the images.
Citizens dining on the dumps is why socialists in this country "can't" explain socialism (see Seth Meyers Advocates for Socialism, Declares Billionaires Immoral and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Cannot Answer Question on Trump’s Socialism Comment). Well, that's not fair. They can explain socialism, just not truthfully. The truth of socialism must remain hidden to all, hidden behind hopes, dreams, and unicorn boofs. Otherwise, the lazy masses will never accept it.
Venezuela is a real-time example of how socialism always ends: widespread misery, real inequality, desperation.
