When you want something nice for yourself but don't quite have the money for it, you probably budget, save, or charge it then pay off the debt as you can. You likely shop around, look for the best price, and maybe even wait for a sale. For a big ticket item, like a car or a house, you negotiate the price down. That's because you abide by the rules, you tax-paying schmuck. You are not the government, which pisses away 2 million dollars for a crummy public bathroom filled with urine and crap receptacles. There's a metaphor here and it's not a subtle one. Our friend John Stossel is here to reiterate how government wastes our money on our waste.

I love how the government lackey is like "Yeah, but our bathroom has better materials." Only no, that's not it. The government pays "Prevailing wage" which as Stossel points out is sometimes $100/hour. The government runs frivolous studies and tests that private companies do not. Look, you and I know government takes our money and pisses it away. They don't make it themselves. It doesn't matter as much to them as it does to us. Until more of us get actually outraged enough to petition for change (like stopping income withholding where we each have to write the government a check, or moving tax day to election day or vice versa), nothing will change.
