Kamala Harris is coming for your meat. I'm not much of a gun person. But if you come for my brisket, you can pry it from my cold dead hands. Also, if history is any indication, a spokesman from Harris campaign will probably tell the media today that she didn't mean what you heard her say. So go and listen to this:

I think that the point that you’re raising in a broader context is that as a nation we absolutely have to have a real priority at the highest level of government around what we eat. And in terms of healthy eating, because we have a problem in America... there has to be also what we do in terms of creating incentives that we’ll eat in a healthy way and that we will encourage moderation, and that we will be educated about the effect of our eating habits on our environment.

She wants to regulate your meat:

Here's the thing. What she said, the words she used, on their own aren't bad. "We're just going to encourage Americans to be healthy." That's a nice goal. But we're living in a world now where Democrat presidential candidates are openly saying they want to take away your guns, your cars, and regulate just about everything else in your life. Plus vegans have made it clear their lifestyle should be forced upon you (see Dear Militant Vegans: Keep Your Misery to Yourselves and Vegan is Suing Her Neighbors Over Wafting BBQ Smells).

So no. A president -- or someone hoping to be president -- saying they want to "create incentives" doesn't get dismissed as a throwaway line. Especially out of Kamala Harris' mouth. A candidate whose entire campaign is based around "if the Senate doesn't do what I tell them, I'm going to do it anyway."
