We can never pass on Mike Rowe posts. The way he blasts leftist policies and lack of work ethic so flawlessly, it gives us a tingle down our legs (see Mike Rowe Schools Media on ‘Undesirable Jobs’ Again. And It’s Perfect… and Mike Rowe Schools Bernie Sanders on ‘Free College for All’…). Now, he has a new web series where he debunks myths about work, blue collar jobs, unemployment, and whether or not Lena Dunham is actually a woman. Just kidding about that last part. He wouldn't dare take on a job that gross.

Myth to be debunked in this video? Is it possible to make a six-figure salary working with your hands?

I maintain that such an individual, properly trained and armed with a modest amount of ambition and the willingness to travel, has an honest shot at making a six-figure salary. I know for a fact that such a thing is not only possible, but quite common, and I could offer dozens of examples. Others however, remain convinced - many steadfastly - that no one who works with his or her hands is capable of earning that kind of pay.

It’s an extraordinary bias and a particularly vexing myth that persists in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, and this very brief video is designed to settle the matter once and for all. (Apologies for the singing. There may have been a frosty beverage in the vicinity.)

Of course Mike Rowe is right. Often times what you do for a living and how successful you are at it depends on how great your ambition and/or work ethic is. This entire notion that one needs a four year degree to earn fat stacks is just silliness. Especially some of the four year degrees colleges these days are offering.

So if you're someone who's been stuck at a desk job, or just unhappy with whatever "career" choice you chose even if you have a fancy degree? There are plenty of other jobs out there where you can work with your hands. While still making fat stacks.

Maybe instead of people "checking their privilege" all the time, perhaps some elitist leftists should check their egos. Maybe when you start checking the ego, you can actually write checks to pay for your own self.

Independence. Mike Rowe and I would love it if everyone had some of it. Perhaps it starts with a dirty (but lucrative) job.
