The left tends to use the words “immigrant” and “illegal immigrant” interchangeably, even though these are two completely different terms. So, while they will stop at nothing to protect the worst criminal aliens in existence, so much so that judges have stopped the deportation of international gang members, they won’t think twice about questioning the immigration status of those they deem politically incorrect.

Maxine Waters is calling for Melania Trump’s immigration status to be investigated with no evidence to suggest it’s illegitimate.

According to Fox News:

Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters suggested President Donald Trump should investigate and potentially deport first lady Melania Trump during an anti-DOGE protest in Los Angeles over the weekend.

"When he [Trump] talks about birthright, and he's going to undo the fact that the Constitution allows those who are born here, even if the parents are undocumented, they have a right to stay in America. If he wants to start looking so closely to find those who were born here and their parents were undocumented, maybe he ought to first look at Melania," Waters was seen saying from the stage of a rally in Los Angeles, various videos posted to social media show.

This does not even make any sense because neither she nor her parents were born here. Additionally, it’s a slap in the face to those who actually respect our immigration laws, as she did it exactly how it’s required by federal immigration laws.

"We don't know whether or not her parents were documented. And maybe we better just take a look," she added.

Her point remains incredibly lacking.

Melania Trump was born in the former Yugoslavia and became a U.S. citizen in 2006, according to official government biographies of the first lady. She is the first U.S. first lady to become a naturalized citizen, and the second first lady to be born outside the U.S. – following President John Quincy Adams' wife Louisa Catherine Johnson Adams, who was born in London in 1775.

The fact that she wants to go after people who have done it the legal way while turning a blind eye to those who disregard our federal immigration laws and put a strain on the system speaks volumes to the left’s priorities.

According to a 2022 report from Fox Business, “Karen Waters and her company, Progressive Connections, have received over $1 million in payments from Rep. Waters’ campaign since 2003 for organizing slate-mailing operations to bolster her mother's re-election.” Subsequently, I think we all know who really should be investigated, and it most certainly is not the FLOTUS.
