Many of us are still wondering exactly what kind of “disinformation” the new Ministry of Truth—oh, sorry—the new Disinformation Governance Board is going to be targeting. The board was created immediately following Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter—though, we’re not claiming the two are connected. I’m certain they would target such things as the New York Times’ recent failed hatchet job.

Perhaps not. Or, at least, that kind of material doesn’t seem to be on the director’s radar at the moment. Nina Jankowicz, who you might remember is basically a Disney villain, is concerned with what she categorizes as “gender disinformation.” I’ll let her explain.

Wait a moment… We know Kamala Harris slept her way to a position of prominence. Willie Brown admitted to it. That’s not disinformation…

I don’t see why the US government should care what is said about the tyrannical Prime Minister of New Zealand, either.

There are also good reasons to believe Ilhan Omar married her brother.

Furthermore, she’s only concerned about Kamala Harris and AOC—leftist politicians—when it comes to people attacking them based on not being (insert race here) enough. She didn’t bother to mention how the left constantly decries black conservatives as not being “black enough.”

Nor is she concerned with the sexist manner in which conservatives like Associate Justice Amy Coney Barret have been characterized.

The director of the Ministry of Truth seems quite concerned about truths coming out about her favorite people but decidedly unconcerned about actual disinformation put out against those on the right. It’s almost as if she isn’t interested in policing disinformation at all but molding a particular kind of “truth,” tailored by her office’s hands for consumption by the public.

As Orwellian as it sounds, this isn’t a dystopian fiction. This is now the reality in the United States, and it should terrify everyone.
