We all know the White House's "common sense" "gun" "control" measures, besides not being common sense, really don't do anything to prevent mass shootings. Right? It's like our own, private but not at all private, little secret we've been keeping to ourselves as we run to the sportsmen stores to load up on guns and ammo. Our. Little. Secret. Shhhhhh...

Even the leftist Washington Post conceded Marco Rubio's claim that no gun control measure would have prevented any mass shooting. But don't tell Obama, it'll hurt his wittle feewings.

Side note before we get to the goods: California, where the latest TERROR ATTACK in San Bernardino occurred, already has the strictest gun control laws in the country. If you're out there in your barker lounger screaming at your flatscreen about "more gun control..." Harm yourself. No really. Harm yourself. You're that stupid.

But you would think the White House themselves would be better at answering the question...

“Can the White House point to a recent mass shooting that would have been stopped by a expanded assault weapons ban or stricter background checks?” Tau asked. “The evidence seems to be that in all these recent mass shootings, these folks either passed background checks or were very determined to circumvent the strict gun laws that are already on the books. Can you point to any that would have been prevented or stopped by the kind of proposals the White House is championing?”

“Again, Byron, I think the same thing applies here, which is it’s not our view that we should wait until somebody who’s on the no-fly list walks into a gun store, legally purchases a gun and kills a bunch of innocent Americans before we pass a law preventing it,” Earnest said. “That’s a common-sense view. The president believes that’s in our national security, and that’s why we believe quite strongly that Congress should take action to address it and close the no-fly, no-buy loophole.”

Fine, he dodged the question because he knows that President Obama is a lying liar who lies about guns. But, I'm sure there at least had to be one mass shooter on the no fly list.

“Not that I’m aware of,” Earnest said.

Well, we've spoken in depth about the lies liberals tell about gun control, and American's themselves are even turning against the idea of an assault weapons ban. That makes me do the happy dance, obviously. American politicians are still idiots, but the American people are not. Bravo, America. Bravo.
