No. None of us has a newfound respect for Whoopi Goldberg. This is the same multi-millionaire who just last week said YOU aren't paying enough in taxes. There's still a cliche about broken clocks for a reason, and in the midst of the usual dingbattery we've come to know a bait clicks with when the shrill harpies from "The View" yak it up around the table, there was a fleeting moment of sanity.

Maybe someone replaced Whoopi's Centrum with red pills, but she came out in SUPPORT of Donald Trump defunding the Department of Education.

It's not just that she supports it, but how far she went.

These bars are key:

"Maybe it will force us to make sure our kids actually get what they need."

“I want to make sure, since you’re taking all this money from my taxes, I want to make sure that my kids get exactly what they need.”

It is one thing for a liberal to support school choice. It's another thing for them to support the entire rationale that Americans had for electing Donald Trump. Whoopi said that perhaps shutting down the Department of Education could be a good thing because it would force parents to be more involved in advocating for their families. They'd have to confront local politicians who keep raising their taxes, wanting to know where those taxes are going and what they're being spent on.

It would force people to no longer accept the status quo and support leaders willing to disrupt it. Congratulations! I doubt she realizes it, but Whoopi just endorsed the very reason why so many voters -- including voters who don't like the guy -- voted for Donald Trump.

Everyone watching The View at the time nodding along to what Whoopi was saying? Congratulations! You're all MAGA now.

It would explain why the powers that be were in such a rush to cut to commercial.
