When the archbishop of San Francisco announced pro-abortion extremist Nancy Pelosi could no longer receive Holy Communion, you knew the left was going to get nutty. People who hate religion and believers were overnight going to claim they were theologians and lecture an archbishop on what the Church--that same church ultra-radical progressives hate--believes. The San Francisco Chronicle even demanded the Pope drop what he was doing to come to Pelosi's defense. That was the most ridiculous thing I had heard until Whoppi Goldberg had her turn.

Goldberg claims it is not the Catholic archbishop's job to enforce the tenants of Catholicism.

"The archbishop of San Francisco is calling for speaker Nancy Pelosi to be denied receiving Communion because of her pro-choice stance [...] this is not your job, dude. That is not up to you to make that decision."

Except it literally is his job.

San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone has spoken out about Pelosi's pro-abortion stance before. Once Pelosi, who claims to be a devout Catholic, went all-in on abortion with no restrictions in the wake of the SCOTUS leak, Cordileone had no other choice. He issued a statement. "You are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion."

This isn't Goldberg's first jaunt into theology. She was forced to apologize for making ignorant comments about the Holocaust early this year. If she says something dumb about Islam, she will have pulled off the hat trick.

No critics of the archbishop's decision give a rip about the church or Catholicism. The problem is they view abortion as their only Holy Sacrament. To speak ill on St. Nancy of the Botox is blasphemy.
