Chelsea Clinton Gets Trolled at 'She Persisted' Book Signing
Chelsea Clinton is on a book tour for her new book, She Persisted. Why she named a book after a Mitch McConnell quote... eh, you'll have to ask her that. It's a book about women who persisted against the patriarchy.
Rebel Media wondered, would Chelsea sign a book for their friend Juanitta? Let's find out...
If I'm understanding the story correctly, Rebel Media tried to get a book signed for the woman (well, at least one woman) Bill Clinton raped. Allegedly. Nevertheless, Chelsea persisted. To pretend it wasn't happening (see Hillary Wins Champion for Girls Award. Bill Clinton Victim Juanita Broaddrick Has NONE of It and New Wikileaks Reveals How Clinton Campaign Would ‘Handle’ Juanita Broaddrick).
Chelsea is not responsible for Bill Clinton's rapescapades. Chelsea is not responsible for her mother covering up or trying to silence either Juanita or any other of Bill's alleged victims. A child is never guilty of their parents' crimes. Okay? Okay.
The snag comes in how Chelsea has positioned herself: a feminine hero standing up for all women. One must take up the cause of women who've been victimized if they've deigned themself Princess Feminist. Up to and including women who've been silenced and/or raped by powerful men (and women) in government. Chelsea has not only failed to champion rape victims like Jaunita Broaddrick, she's flat out ignored her. Again, awkward situation for Chelsea, sure. But if you're going to "champion for all women" them be the breaks.
I just wish the Rebel Troller had been more subtle.
Troller: "Can you sign this book?"
Chelsea: "Sure! To whom?"
Troller: "Juanita..."
Chelsea signs...
Troller: "Broaddrick. Maybe you know her?"
Chelsea gives a dirty look.
Troller: "Oh, so you do know who she is, you're just ignoring her plight because it doesn't fit your narrative, and your parents are awful human beings" or some such thing.
Next time.
