Today in WNBA news: women's basketball still sucks. Also, teams are continuing their love affair with Black Lives Matter. First it started with players wearing BLM shirts to their games (see JUSTICE: WNBA Players Join #BlackLivesMatter. Cops Boycott Their Games...). They sported the name of a group which vilifies police like a badge of honor... While receiving protection from the police. Yeah, that didn't go over too well. Symbolically spitting on dead cops' graves and all.

Now the players are making another political statement by refusing to talk about basketball during interviews. To be fair, you wouldn't want to talk about basketball either if your fanbase was smaller than that of, say, Little League.

The Washington Mystics refused to talk about basketball on Friday following their 95-75 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks. Instead, as a protest to the fines levied against three teams for wearing warm-up shirts that supported Black Lives Matter, they would only talk about issues going on in the world.

[The Mystics] said they would continue to refuse to talk about basketball "until we get support."

You play sports and you have an opinion. We get it. Nobody asked you to tell the world what you think about current events. You get paid to play basketball for the 5 feminists who are too triggered to watch the actual NBA. Here, I'll simplify it even more. Think of it this way: your league is the safe space of basketball. You bounce the ball and throw it places. Then you talk about bouncing the ball and throwing it places. That's about it.

Using your work-time to blast your political opinion all over the place? Not professional. It also doesn't help that your opinion is stupid. After having enjoyed years of police protection, these gals are essentially lambasting all cops. We've said it before and we'll say it again: probably don't do that. The douche-cherry on top? All this "protest" is over the deaths of... mostly criminals. And it's being done in the name of a group which is also comprised of... mostly criminals. I'm sensing a pattern here.
