Hayward Unified officials terminated the contract with the anti-racist consulting firm Woke Kindergarten after national backlash.

But to be fair, who could have guessed that political indoctrination was not the way to boost math scores?

According to The San Francisco Chronicle:

The anti-racist consulting firm Woke Kindergarten will no longer train teachers at an East Bay elementary school, the three-year, $250,000 contract terminated Monday after a national backlash over the provocative content as well as the questionable use of federal funding.

Hayward Unified officials said “the controversy was becoming a distraction,” with threatening and racist phone calls and emails to Glassbrook Elementary and the district office. District officials emphasized that while terminating the contract, they were “not repudiating any of the training related to the organization.”

Officials also placed on leave a teacher who criticized the program, without explaining their reasoning other than to cite “allegations of unprofessional conduct.” And a school board member is facing a formal investigation as well as public outrage over offensive comments he made to a staff member related to the district’s contract with Woke Kindergarten.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think the last thing that five-year-olds need is “liberation” in the classroom. But the worst part about all of that is that students were suffering from abysmal test scores and the school focused on confronting racism in a classroom where there is none.

The program was intended to “train teachers to confront white supremacy, disrupt racism and oppression, and remove those barriers to learning,” according to the outlet.

But how exactly do you “confront white supremacy” in a kindergarten classroom? And what does it look like to “remove those barriers” for learning? Is it because math is racist? Is that why math scores plummeted after the fact? Does removing the “barrier” mean removing the math class?

This was somehow supposed to “boost” scores but the ironic thing is that it did not do any of that and the kids were worse off because of it.

But it gets even worse since a teacher was punished for daring to question the woke “educators" when he mistakenly thought this was America. He assumed he had the right to speak up against this abhorrent program. He was wrong. You don't have that freedom in Hayward, Calif. All you have is woke "educators" who only care about indoctrinating the next generation for their woke revolution.

The fact that the school district placed a teacher on leave for questioning the abhorrent program shows that all of this is indefensible. And that's a perfect example of how the woke mob works. They force dissenting voices into silence.

Woke ideologies are increasingly targeting childhood to recruit them in the left's ideological war. But fortunately, not even the woke parents in Hayward want that. And although this is a small victory, we will take it. And hopefully, the sanely outspoken teacher gets his job back.
