[Video] Wolf Blitzer Gets Spanked for Spreading Fake News on Russian Dossier
CNN just got done lecturing America on fake news. Yes, that CNN (see CNN's Ratings Nosedive After Being Confirmed As Fake News). And now they're already back to doing us dirty. Today during a segment Wolf Blitzer made a few misleading ASSumptions (see what I did there?) about the Russian dossier. Both Daily Caller and Rep. Sean Duffy quickly put him in his place:
CNN spread misinformation to its viewers Friday when a chyron on Wolf Blitzer's show claimed that an anti-Trump Republican helped fund the Russian dossier.Reporting on the dossier tells us that a Republican was the first to pay Fusion GPS for opposition research, but that donor was out of the picture by the time Fusion contracted with Christopher Steele to create the dossier.
Blitzer's guest, Rep. Sean Duffy, also noted that it has not been independently confirmed that a Republican was the initial Fusion GPS client.
So there's yet to be a confirmation regarding any Republican's involvement in the dossier. Yet CNN is touting it as fact. Surprise, surprise. We already knew the media had zero qualms about misleading people. But now they're spreading fake news about... fake news?
This is to be expected considering many leftist news organizations jumped on the bandwagon to spread the false dossier when it first plopped itself onto the scene. Also lets not forget when news of the uranium scandal broke (see Bombshell! FBI Uncovers Russian Nuclear Plot. Which Happened Under Obama, Hillary...), CNN was too busy having its panties in a twist over a phone call between Trump and a widower. A phone call.
