You know how all of the Jesus based religions are supposed to be anti-woman because they think abortion is murder? You know, because abortion is murder? Well, what about a religion who thinks women shouldn't be allowed to travel by themselves? Because there's one that dictates and micromanages its ladies on the regular.

That, my friends, is the religion of peace!

A British Muslim group has told its members that women should not be able to go further than 48 miles without a male chaperone.

Blackburn Muslim Association stipulates that it is ‘not permissible’ for a women to go more than 48 miles, roughly three days walk, without her husband or a close male relative.

The statement is on a question and answer section on the group’s website which offers ‘solutions and answers’ to religious, social or financial matters according to Sharia teaching.

The group claims to have received local government funding and is listed as an affiliate of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), the Telegraph reported.

The website also states that men must grow beards and advises women to cover their faces.

Ok, I got that wrong. It's not that they shouldn't be allowed. It's that they AREN'T allowed. The question which should pop into your mind is why? Perhaps Muslim husbands are afraid their Muslim wives will be raped without the obligatory four witnesses which prove her innocence? What with the Muslim men's penchant for raping the ladies. Or girls. Maybe it's simpler than that. Maybe they believe their women just cannot be trusted on their own. Especially in Jolly Olde England.

A day shopping at Harrods for non-burka things? Taking in a show at the West End? Exposing herself to a first world culture which promotes equality for women?

Or perhaps all of the above. Because Islam doesn't trust women. With anything. Other women. Other men. Other opinions. Freedom. Fashion. David Beckham selling underwear on a giant poster somewhere.

But yeah, keep telling yourselves that it's Christians who hate women. Keep promoting the idea that western civilizations, which go out of their way to accommodate women for practically everything (in some areas, even their menstrual cramps) are "anti-woman" while systematically and purposefully ignoring Islam's obvious abuse of women.
