Female dart champion takes a stand, refuses to compete against trans opponent claiming to be a woman

Add European dart playing to the list of sports where boys attempt to steal titles from girls by pretending to be one. Or, "identifying" as one because of being born in the wrong body and yackity schmackity. British female darts player Deta Hedman pulled herself out a tournament instead of facing Noa-Lynn van Leuven, a female dart player who recently competed as a male dart player.
Hedman refers to herself as an "old Caribbean queen" on X-Twitter. This has nothing to do with this article, other than upon reading it I got Billy Ocean's "Caribbean Queen" stuck in my head and feel you should as well.
It was first reported that Hedman pulled out due to illness. She was quick to correct the record, stating her reason for pulling out the quarterfinals was because she "wouldn't play a man in a ladies event."
Hedman has been outspoken when it comes to protecting women's sports.

Upon hearing about Hedman's decision, women's rights activist Riley Gaines offered to pay out any prize money the dart player lost out on for taking a brave stance. Hedman respectfully declined.
I must get into contact with Deta Hedman. I want to pay her the prize money she missed out on, just as @SethDillon and I did with billiards player Kim O'Brien for taking the same stand.

It is not the first time Noa-Lynn van Leuven has been embroiled in controversy. Two of his/her/thems teammates quit after van Leuven won a March competition. A women's competition. Outkick reported Noa-Lynn ALSO took home the men's title at the Professional Darts Corporation Challenge Tour two weeks ago.
Unclear is if Noah took home the men's title, then Lynn took home the women's title. There could be something lost in translation. At least when Will Thomas announced he was going to start competing as Lia Thomas, there was a summer break in between. Going male to female in two weeks stretches the bounds of what we're expected to accept as reality.
Yes, even in 2024.
You can add darts to the list of sports that men (who claim to be women) are better at. Including skateboarding, billiards, running, boxing, etc.
