Who Wore It Better? Deadpool or Steven Crowder?
Yes. We saw the Deadpool 2 trailer.
Geek culture is funny. We They get more excited for trailers than they do the movies (see The Final ‘Justice League’ Trailer. Because Movies are Meant to Entertain… and Watch the Final Trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi). Maybe because the trailers don't disappoint as much as the movies. Either way, they dropped the Deadpool 2 teaser yesterday.
Deadpool imitates Bob Ross, the late artist from PBS’ instructional show “The Joy of Painting” who provided extensive detail about what he was painting, in a video titled “Wet on Wet.” At one point, Deadpool explains that he’s painting trees, then adds, “What you don’t want to do is eat these paints — trust me on this.”
So I'm clear, no one is actually claiming they are copying us. The marketing for Deadpool is typically sarcastic parody. Neither the creators of Deadpool or Louder with Crowder invented Bob Ross impersonations. Okay? Okay.
But I wonder if "The Bob Ross Estate" will send a legal cease and desist. As it sent to us.
Or if Ryan Reynolds will subsequently paint those lawyers eating from a pile of corn-infested s*** along with Muhammad...
