WATCH: Working Fewer Hours? Thank ObamaCare...
I think we can all agree that ObamaCare has been a big bowl of crap gravy. For one, it caused healthcare costs to skyrocket (see Surprise! New Study Shows ObamaCare Caused Massive Increases in Premiums...). It also impedes on freedoms (read Freedom of Choice? ObamaCare Now Forces CHURCHES to Fund Abortions). To add to the suckness? People are now working fewer hours due to ObamaCare...
The good folks from PragerU put together this nifty video to explain further...
A new regulation on employers imposed by the Affordable Care Act... is harming millions of working Americans. [It] requires many companies to offer health insurance to employees who work 30 hours or more a week... This isn't an expense that many companies can afford. So now hundreds of thousands of part time employees' hours are now capped at 29 hours per week. The law is flawed, resulting in people having less money and still no health insurance.
Yes, that's right. The Affordable Care Act. That wasn't affordable. And gave everyone less care. It's forcing businesses to keep their employees' hours down.
In short, employers have to make a tough choice. Dish out the dough for expensive healthcare coverage... or keep employees from working more than 29 hours per week. Their result? People are working less.
So in other words, the ACA is hindering the American workforce. ObamaCare is unwanted by most. Hence the whole forcing everyone to have it part. The insurance companies were forced to take part. Now businesses are forced to offer it. And you? Well, you have to pay your "fair share" so it can be "affordable." Quotation marks because these words don't match their Webster-given definitions.
As it turns out, everyone got dealt a sub par hand. Why? Because Uncle Sam decided everyone needs healthcare. But not just any healthcare -- ObamaCare. So far that's looking like higher costs, less choice, and now less work hours. Thanks socialism.
