In a recent vote that passed by a slim margin, “the Senate in Wyoming voted to defund Gender Studies programs at the University of Wyoming,” citing the obvious fact that these programs are “a waste of money and provide[] no benefit.”

This is a phenomenal move by the Wyoming legislature, and one all other states should be emulating. Gender Studies and the litany of other grievance studies programs throughout the country provide no benefit to society and, in truth, are a detriment to social cohesion and founding American principles. They’re to blame for producing such brilliant minds as Ibram Kendi and Robin DiAngelo.

As Harris Rigby over at Not the Bee puts it, “Gender Studies programs, along with other ‘grievance studies’ are the root of all our post-modern critical theories woes. […] [I]t needs to be banned from our public Universities.”

Putting an end to these programs in our universities will at least stem the tides of wokeness pouring into our K-12 schools. However, we also know that these theories have seeped into various other programs of study, as well, and weeding them out will take more time and effort. Hitting the universities where it hurts—right in their pocketbooks—is a fantastic idea, too.

The left isn’t pleased with this move, though.

This is a victory for Republicans and America more broadly, regardless of the tears currently being shed by the screaming horde of leftists.
