Two years ago, The Babylon Bee had their Twitter account suspended after they made fun of a Biden Administration official. They were told they could get their account back if they deleted the tweet. They stood their ground. It was the anti-free speech catalyst that caused Elon Musk to buy Twitter. Keep that in mind, because Elon's X is doing the same to a conservative news site now.

The Publica dropped the following story about another migrant rape in Europe where the migrants got a slap on the wrist. Yes, another. Not to be confused with the story last month, where a woman who complained about migrant rape on social media got a harsher jail sentence than the rapist. Or, any of the stories that have dated back to 2016. This story took place in Sweden, where two Afghan migrants were SPARED PRISON after being convicted of gang-raping a 13-year-old girl. While trangenders are ranked #1 on the American Progressive Pound-for-Pound most marginalized rankings, migrants take the crown in Europe.

The Publica took a photo that was WIDELY BEING SHARED BY SWEDISH MEDIA and pixelated the hell out of it for the thumbnail. A thumbnail, that was automatically generated by X when the post was shared to The Publica's X account.

The Publica's X account... that they are now shut out of.

The excuse given by X is that the photo -- the photo that was widely shared by the media that The Publica pixelated itself -- violates X's "child exploitation policy." The media sharing the photo doesn't violate the policy. The Publica censoring the photo in an article reporting on the rapists not being sent to jail after being convicted of raping a 13-year-old, according to X, does.

In what may or may not be a related story, X announced at the beginning of the month that they were re-joining the World Economic Forum's flagship product for "responsible media." AKA, censoring stories they don't like. Many a red flag was sent up when Elon first announced an official from the WEF, Linda Yaccarino, as the new CEO of his "free speech" platform. Now a story about the most protected of protected classes in Europe is causing news sites to get censored for sharing it.

If this is an "algorithm" that made the decision that a pixelated version of a thumbnail is cause for a ban, it needs to be re-coded. If it's a person who made the decision, the more likely thing Elon has some explaining to do about whether his "free speech" platform is still a free speech platform.
