We here at LwC love ourselves some good guys with guns stories (see Thanks 2nd Amendment! Good Samaritan SAVES Woman at Walmart and Thanks Second Amendment! You know, because nuts of the leftist variety have a strong tendency to lose their crap when presented with actual evidence that owning a firearm can save your life. Or someone else's life. Here's a story that not only falls under "good guy with a gun," but the good guy managed to save a Florida deputy!

A passerby shot and killed a person who was fighting with a Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Interstate 75 Monday morning.

Deputy First Class Dean Bardes, a 12-year-veteran, was working a crash at mile marker 126 when the suspect came upon him, causing Bardes to pursue him at high speeds, according to multiple sources.

Bardes and the suspect exited their vehicles at the Corkscrew Road exit and a fight started, sources said. The suspect was armed, Bardes told his supervisors, according to sources.

The passerby, who had a Concealed Weapons License, exited his vehicle and told the suspect he’d shoot him if he didn’t stop beating the deputy, sources said.

You know what comes next...

This is also where we usually point out how leftists are anti-CCW and want to chip away at our Second Amendment rights. But, oh wait, Hillary Clinton lost last week. For a crap ton of reasons, sure (not least of which she was the devil incarnate), but methinks her hatred of the boom-boom sticks, which she sought to ban, might have played a role in her delightful defeat.

The Second Amendment covers many an area of rights: in this case, the saving of a deputy's bootylicious behind. In other cases, saving your own behind, protecting your property, and ensuring against government tyranny. If the white-hatted good Samaritan hadn't stepped in, we're not sure how this story would've played out. But we probably wouldn't be writing it with such glee. Nor using terms like "bootylicious."

And while Hillary's broom was struck with a tomahawk missile last week, it is not time to relax. Leftists are always going to come after our rights, especially our Second Amendment rights. It's "common sense."
