Family Who Lost Cat In Yellowstone Was Shocked After He Made It 900 Miles Back To California
There’s a movie called Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey where two dogs and a cat make their way across America to find their beloved owners. This is that story.
A couple was heartbroken after one of their cats ran into the forest during a Yellowstone vacation and had to leave the poor kitty behind after searching for four days. However, they never thought he would make his way back to California, especially because it was a 900-mile journey.

According to Fox News:
Benny and Susanne Anguiano and their two cats, arrived at Yellowstone National Park on June 4. Although the couple had always traveled with their pets, something spooked their Siamese cat, Rayne Beau, and he ran into the forest.
The couple looked for him for four days, said the Associated Press, and tried to tempt him to return with his favorite treats and toys.
Rayne Beau was nowhere to be found.
Two months later the couple received a call they will never forget.
In August, the Anguianos received word that Rayne Beau had been found – skinny, and with paws that were roughed up – but otherwise OK.
Rayne Beau was spotted in Roseville, California, almost 900 miles from where he ran off in Yellowstone and about 200 miles away from Salinas, said the Associated Press.
The Anguianos believe that Rayne Beau, somehow, was able to make the journey back to California by himself.
The cat was only 200 miles from his home and the fact that he made it 900 miles past several states is a miracle in itself.
The couple claims they will practice camping in the backyard to prevent this from happening again but maybe it’s best to let the kitty stay home next time. However, there’s no need to victim blame and it’s great that Rayne Beau made his way back to California and it’s just a good thing he didn't end up in Springfield, Ohio.
