It was announced at San Diego Comic Con that Season 20 of South Park is coming on September 14th, plus a bunch of other events to celebrate 20 years of the cartoon.

Comedy Central and South Park Digital Studios will be honoring the iconic series over the next several months with specialized events on-air, online and on the ground. They include a traveling art exhibit curated by street pop culture artist Ron English that will visit select locations around the country, the launch of a redesigned South Park app and all-new Avatar Creator; the release of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, a new video game from Ubisoft; the South Park 20 Experience featuring 20 iconic 2D/3D moments; and Comedy Central’s launch of the 20th season multi-tiered, multimedia marketing campaign, which will roll out over the next several months.

It's no secret that everyone at LwC are huge South Park fans, and while most shows will stop getting funny after a few seasons, many considered the last season to be their funniest one yet (see HILARIOUS! Trey and Matt are the definition of equal opportunity offenders. Sure, they've made fun of Christians. Mercilessly. But they are also the only mainstream television program to go just as hard after Muhammad. Over which Comedy Central even threatened to pull the episodes. Last year they even witnessed the inevitable backlash from their #SJW fans who simply couldn't take the mocking of modern "triggered" culture.

20 years running and still going strong. And with a fun twist on the child growing up into an adult, we're reminded just how long South Park has been around offending the masses.

So congratulations South Park. You haven't been sued out of existence yet by the PC Police. Here's hoping you keep hitting the nail on the politically correct head one cartoon at a time. Throw enough chum in the water, and watch leftists devour themselves.
