Hillary Clinton thinks guns are a women's rights issue, and we couldn't agree more. Take young mom Semantha Bunce, for example. She has the right - or should have the right - to defend herself and protect her baby when home intruders are looking to kill her.

Bunce was feeding the baby when the assailants forced their way into the home.

Bunce met the intruders at her bedroom door and when the men opened fire on her in the stairwell area, she fired back, her husband said.

“I think it was a shock to the intruders just as much as it was to her,” said Paul Bunce, her husband.

Paul told Channel 9 his wife is a combat medic with the National Guard. He believes her training allowed her to stay mentally focused and calm during what was a fight for her life.

The young mom is currently in the hospital with serious injuries. Had she not been able to protect herself, this would be a story about a young mom and her young child who were murdered in their home. There's also a strong possibility that she would have been raped. Because generally, intruders don't invade a residence when someone is clearly home, unless they're actively looking to victimize a person. Contrast that with cat-burglars who would simply seek out an empty home, in order to more easily steal stuff. Do the math...

Hillary Clinton wants to make it harder for women like Semantha Bunce to protect themselves. Here's the macro-point: people like Hillary Clinton want to deny women like Samantha their most basic human right; that of self-preservation. Despite what the movies tell you, the only way for a woman to be able to protect her home and kin against men, is with a gun. Stripping her of that God-given right, in any capacity, removes her ability to sovereignly protect her own life. It can only favor the criminals. Because saving the lives of innocent young moms, or masked, armed intruders...
