We've written before about retail employees saving the day (see Chicago Concealed Carry Citizen Saves the Day… Again and WATCH: 65 year Old Gun-Toting Grandma Shoots at Armed Robbers). Thankfully for them, they didn't work at a politically correct, spineless CVS like Army veteran Joe Morici.

He recently managed a store in Beltsville, Maryland. He says Friday morning his military instincts kicked in when two robbery suspects entered the business. Those instincts got him fired.

"Two individuals were jumping the counter into our pharmacy," says Morici.

Police say the suspects took narcotics from the pharmacy's safe. Morici says fearing for the safety of his customers and co-workers, he pursued the suspects to the front door where one of the suspects attacked him with this screwdriver.

Morici says, "He tried to hit me again with the screwdriver. I disarmed him of the screwdriver, while having the other guy pinned against the one door."

He even retrieved most of the stolen merchandise. Swell guy! Seems like a candidate for employee of the month, right?

Not at pro-robbery CVS. They have a strict "no confronting robbers" policy, so he got fired... For saving customers and co-workers.

Really, CVS? I'm taking my business to Walgreen's. You're like the drug store version of the feminists who would rather be raped than saved by a man. I understand the point of the policy. You want to keep people safe and avoid any liability. But what's the point in punishing someone who perfectly apprehended two slimebag crooks? Please and thank you... and a spa day might seem more appropriate.

Do we really want to live in a world filled with lady-men who sit back and do nothing while bad things happen? Don't get me wrong, the responsibility of protecting strangers doesn't rest on the shoulders of every man or clerk. But can we at least show some gratitude and not fire someone for risking their life to do something good?

To leftists, the answer is no. And it's for the exact same reason that "zero tolerance" policies are plaguing our schools, in which the child defending himself against the violent attacker is punished equally. Leftists have to push the narrative that violence is bad. Period. Conservatives understand that violence is not inherently immoral. Violence can be used to rape a woman, and violence can be used to stop the raping of a woman.

What kind of an over/under to you want to set on the odds that this hero is a Conservative?
