It turns out that when you have a point that is not only extremely lacking but also deeply unpopular with half the country, you should not use it as a marketing tool. Rachel Zegler never got that memo, and instead of keeping her mouth shut, she lectured the unwoke masses while accidentally destroying any chance her film could have had.

Jonah Platt, the son of one of the producers of "Snow White," has called out Zegler for allowing her “narcissism” to ruin the film.

According to Page Six:

Jonah called out the actress in a since-deleted Instagram comment Wednesday after a critic labeled his father as “creepy as hell” for flying to New York City to chat with Zegler about her political social media posts.

Per the Daily Mail, Jonah clapped back, “Yeah, my dad, the producer of [an] enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20-year-old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie…”

Jonah, 38, claimed that Zegler, 23, “signed a multi-million dollar contract” to star in and promote the live-action musical.

It's unfathomable how entitled someone must be to make millions of dollars from a job and then bash it into oblivion as if they were owed that.

“This is called adult responsibility and accountability,” he continued, adding that the “West Side Story” star’s “actions clearly hurt the film’s box office.”

“Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of all the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful,” he said. “Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged.”

I agree that “narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged,” but it’s not like Disney is an innocent party here. The script writers and producers are not objective bystanders who had no say, and it’s a lame excuse to put all the blame on her, although she was a huge factor as to why the movie bombed.

So, while Zegler may have trouble landing her new role, this is not the first move in which Disney has flopped, and it won't be the last.
