Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just failed her first fact-check. Aw. The left says we're "scared" of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Right, just about as scared as leftists were of Sarah Palin. But we're just a partisan website. Jealous of the way she "slays lewks." Her words. It's easy to dismiss us thinking she's a dummy. So we'll let the Washington Post do it. I believe this is the first of what I'm sure will be many fact checks for the Congresswoman-elect.

Ocasio-Cortez is not the first Twitter user to mangle information from a news report. But it’s unconvincing to try to pass this off as a rhetorical point being misread. She cited the $21 trillion figure and said “66% of Medicare for All could have been funded already by the Pentagon.”

That’s a direct comparison. It’s badly flawed. The same article she referenced on Twitter would have set her straight. The tweet is still up, probably causing confusion. So we will award Four Pinocchios to Ocasio-Cortez.

Four...PINOCCHIOS??? The cis-puppet whose strings were pulled by an old white male? This reeks of patriarchy! If you're not a twenty-year-old. Who probably gets the bulk of her news from Comedy Central. And who doesn't have a PR firm pushing her as the next big thing. Then you are not allowed to call AOC out when she pulls narratives straight out of keister. However well dressed her bum bum may be.

So no, fear isn't behind the jokes we make about Buzzfeed Barbie, it's the wealth of material. For which she's now been deliciously slapped down.

To refrain from mocking she who shall not use facts would cause physical pain.
