HERO: Baltimore Cop Rushes to Save Baby’s Life… of Anti-Cop Protestor
We haven't taken you to Baltimore in a while (see Baltimore’s Crime Now Skyrockets Past Detroit After City Reins in Police… and Baltimore Rioters Now Want Back The Police They Hated…). Much to the dismay of most leftists I'm sure, a Baltimore police officer is being called a hero for frantically trying to save a baby...
A Baltimore City officer is being called a hero. Major Richard Gibson stepped into action to try and save a baby girl that stopped breathing inside a crowded restaurant. The moments of panic were caught on video.Antonio Romeo, the owner of Mamma Lucia Pizza Italian Eatery on Greenmount Avenue tells WJZ the mother came in with her baby twice. First to warm-up because they were cold, but by the second time, the baby was not breathing.
The baby unfortunately didn't survive, and you can see how distraught the officer was in the video.
As for why the mother was there in the first place?
Police say the mother had her baby with her while taking part in a protest of a recent officer-involved shooting of an armed man in the Waverly neighborhood.“It’s almost ironic. We had an officer who was on patrol, he was keeping an eye on the protesters, and then before he knew it, he was called into action,” said Det. Jeremy Silbert, Baltimore Police spokesman.
His compassion inspires those who saw it first-hand.
The mother took her baby - in the freezing cold - to protest a police officer doing his job. The man was armed. She was protesting (with her baby, in the freezing cold) a police officer shooting someone who would have shot him. When the woman's baby stopped breathing, another police officer did whatever he could to try and save the baby.
The police officer tried to save the baby. It was more important to her to protest an officer who did his job, than to keep her baby indoors during winter. When she needed help, an officer stepped in. Even though she was protesting police officers.
I know I've repeated myself here. But the point bears so much repeating, as a child died.
Police officers, the majority of them, go into the police force not because they're trigger happy racists hoping to bag a black man (as Black Lives Matter would like you to believe). Most go into the police force to help people. They want to protect and serve their community. There are far more officers like Gibson than protesters would have you believe.
That's a tragic lesson to have to learn.
