Defaming the Prophet Muhammad “goes beyond the permissible limits of an objective debate" and "could stir up prejudice and put at risk religious peace” and thus exceeds the permissible limits of freedom of expression, ruled the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on Thursday, upholding a lower court decision.

By the by, when you put limits on freedom of expression, you don't have freedom of expression.

The decision by a seven-judge panel came after an Austrian national identified as Mrs. S. held two seminars in 2009, entitled “Basic Information on Islam,” in which she defamed the Prophet Muhammad’s marriage.

No word on if she defamed the marriage to an underage girl or one of the other wives.

According to a statement released by the court on Thursday, the Vienna Regional Criminal Court found that these statements implied that Muhammad had pedophilic tendencies, and in February 2011 convicted Mrs. S. for disparaging religious doctrines.

Oh, then the underage bride it is.

She was fined €480 (aprox. $547) and the costs of the proceedings.

Yep, according to these European douchemeisters, stating an unsavory fact about "the prophet" isn't free speech. Solely on the grounds it makes Islamo-peeps look bad. Well marrying children will do that.

Something tells me the court wouldn't be showing the same amount of reverence if the person on trial were claiming Jesus to be a non-binary, polygamist Eskimo. God help you though if you mention unpleasant facts about Muhammad, which happen to be true.

Some Islamic gents have an inclination toward raper. Muhammad made an honest woman out of a six-year-old. Sharia-compliant types have a grudge against ladies' naughty bits. Thems be the "hate facts," people. They shall not be uttered, even if they're factually accurate with historical documentation.

Having free expression means anything goes. Hence the word "free." If a gang of bureaucratic dickbags bans facts because they might make one of their pet groups look bad, it ain't free expression at all.
