It's like the WrestleMania of weeks, which is funny since the actual WrestleMania is this week. Ok, maybe that's not funny. Don't think about it too much. The important thing? The Senate just voted to allow states to defund Planned Parenthood. AND, Mike Pence was needed for the tie-breaking vote...

Vice President Mike Pence cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate on Thursday to overturn an Obama administration rule and allow states to withhold Title X family planning money from Planned Parenthood.

The House passed a resolution last month disapproving of the Health and Human Services rule, which in December 2016 barred states from defunding Planned Parenthood or other Title X recipients for any reason other than the provider’s “ability to deliver services to program beneficiaries in an effective manner.” The Senate could have advanced the resolution with a 52-member majority, but moderate Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) voted with the Democrats to uphold the rule, leaving a tie. Pence, who has led the fight against reproductive rights for more than half a decade(LWC NOTE: Sorry, but that's all leftist speak for "he's pro-life"), voted with Republicans to move forward with the resolution.

In a nutshell...

Of course, the left is none too pleased. You know, with states having the right to decide whether or not to fund the abortion mill. These are the same people who believe in the "right to choose." But only if it's for a woman ripping her preborn child from her womb. All other choices are out of the question, how dare you.

Fine, that last one was for the other Mike Pence controversy, the one where he honors his wife. What a d!ck.

What the senate did here is but one phase in a battle. Giving states the choice of whether or not to funnel their tax dollars to the abortion mill is a great first step, but it's by no means over. Planned Parenthood is a billion dollar organization, with abortion as its crown jewel money-maker. If you think the left isn't going to put up a stink fest rivaling the armpit aroma from Burning Man, think again. But plug thy nasal cavity.

The next phase, and all phases after, will be met with much gnashing of teeth. Mostly by feminist hags bitching and citing incorrect facts like "Millions of women need Planned Parenthood" (no) and "Planned Parenthood doesn't even do that many abortions!" Also no. Now Trump needs to sign this thing. And I'm sure he's going to sign it, what with him promising to do so on the campaign trail...
