With the Democrats controlling the House now, the search is on for a Speaker of the House. Naturally, the old Speaker Cryptkeeper Nancy Pelosi wants her job back. Some of her fellow lefties think that's not such a good idea.

Nance says she deserves the seat because she's a woman. Yes, really:

Nancy Pelosi is making gender a central part of her bid to reclaim the speaker’s gavel — leaning hard into the pitch that Democrats cannot oust the only woman at their leadership table following a historic election for women.

In addition to arguing she’s the best qualified for the job, the California Democrat and her allies are also framing a Pelosi victory as a matter of protecting political progress for women at a critical moment.

“You cannot have the four leaders of Congress [and] the president of the United States, these five people, and not have the voice of women,” Pelosi continued. “Especially since women were the majority of the voters, the workers in campaigns, and now part of this glorious victory.”

Yep, they're supposed to pick Nancy over every other candidate because she has a vajayjay.

It's not lost on me how Nancy has the appropriate prior job experience for this gig. Her previous go at being Speaker of the House was most pleasing to her Marxist overlords. Where everyone goes from "fair enough" to "bulls*it" is when Nancy and her ilk insist she deserves the job because her genitalia. It's "her time," they say. Hillary tried that tactic. It didn't work.

This is the ugly truth of identity politics, my friends. Your ability to do your job comes secondary to your downstairs organs and your hue. It doesn't matter if you're too duncetastic to flip Big Macs, if you have the right minority status, you're a contender to be part of the top brass. Pathetic.
