The worst part of when the UN is in session? We're forced to compare Obama and Netanyahu side-by-side, and get reminded what a real leader should be. Israel vs. The World

A key thing here that Bibi didn't say flat out but I will. Israel is a beacon of first world freedom nested in a region overwhelmed by third world barbarism. Whenever Palestinians complain about being oppressed by Israel, look at a map. Israel is a tiny country surrounded by countries that want to see it wiped off that map. For no other reasons than Israel is a Jewish state (that's a big one) but also because they're as successful as they are. As a nation.

I wrote in this post the key thing to remember when thinking of how leftists treat Israel is the 99% vs. 1 % analogy. Leftists despise success, believing that if one is successful, one must have taken from the unsuccessful. Israel is the 1 percent. It is surrounded by the poorer 99% who happen to be Islamic nations. So it doesn't seem to matter to leftists the world over that Israel treats its own men and women so well. What matters to leftists the world over is the perceived oppression the tiny nation of Israel has on the region. Despite the other nations of the region committing gross human rights crimes, engaging in terrorism and what have you. It's the oppression olympics, always.

Anyway, thank you Bibi for reminding us what a real leader sounds like. We've needed that for the past eight years.
