Pastors Now Legally Banned From Calling Gay Lifestyle 'Sinful'...
Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on sucking.
In the state of Kentucky, it is now officially illegal for pastors volunteering to council juvenile criminals to refer to gay behavior as "sinful". An imposed test demands that they either refrain from declaring it’s a sin, or the state dismisses them. Yes, this is really happening now.
The policy was discovered by Liberty Counsel a few days ago, which is currently taking action to try and reinstate a dismissed counselor and get the policy dropped. Cue the SJW "hate-speech" victims. So this is where we are; the religious belief of many Christians is now a violation of DJJ (Department of Juvenile Justice) policy, where it’s stated:
DJJ staff, volunteers, interns, and contractors, in the course of their work, shall not refer to juveniles by using derogatory language in a manner that conveys bias towards or hatred of the LGBTQI community. DJJ staff, volunteers, interns, and contractors shall not imply or tell LGBTQI juveniles that they are abnormal, deviant, sinful, or that they can or should change their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Pastors are being dismissed if they speak their mind about the LGBTQI community. – Is it just me…or is that acronym always getting longer? If I missed one, I'm sorry but not sorry.– But that shouldn’t surprise anyone. We’ve been warning about this for a fairly long time. This only makes sense as the next step. This has nothing to do with your personal views on same-sex marriage, but your view on personal, religious freedoms.
Something to note: you know what else pastors would openly consider "sinful"? Alcohol abuse, disrespecting one's spouse or parents, anger, promiscuity etc.. They can openly condemn those actions while welcoming the person... the only difference is that there isn't an activist group seeking to destroy the church for considering any of those to be "sinful".
First they came for the bakeries. Then, the bed and breakfasts. Now, it's the pastors. If you don't stand up for any of them, there will be no one left to stand up for you.
You will be made to care. Fabulously.
