Racist Arby's Employee: "I'm 19. She's an officer and I'm colored..."
We told you about the liberal Arby's worker who refused to serve a cop because she was a cop. Arby's ridiculous excuse for it is so ridiculous, they must have realized it's not going to fly, because they fired the manager, suspended the employee, and the CEO is now offering a free meal to any police officer. So kind of sorry, but not sorry.
Unfortunately, that free meal is still at Arby's. Hope they like Yak vomit.
The funny/not funny part is the disconnect between the employee (Davenport) and his grandfather.
Davenport's grandfather tells CBS Miami that he believes the whole incident is being blown out of proportion. He raised his grandson and said he has respect for the police. He believes the whole thing is centered around a misunderstood joke."Officers lives matter," he said. "Everybody's life matters. Somebody made a joke and she just didn't take it the right way. She didn't think they were joking. She thought it was a serious matter. Now their job as an officer is very serious and I appreciate all that they do."
Set aside that jokes are supposed to be funny (even by today's comedy standards) and there's nothing humorous when cops are currently being targeted and assassinated. Also set aside that he said "Everybody's life matters" which is now considered "racist" by left. Ultimately, his grandson doesn't seem to agree.
Kenny Davenport told CBS Miami he sees little point in explaining himself."There's no point in talking," he said. "I'm 19. She's an officer and I'm colored."
Colored? COLORED?!? That's a micro aggression, SIR! I will have no more of your hatespeak. We all know that the acceptable description is "people OF color." The sequence matters.
We also would have accepted "negros."
