This is breaking from the Washington Post. Donald Trump has fired his Secretary of State, and is replacing him with his CIA Director. So if you thought this was going to be a quiet Tuesday, LOL at you.

President Trump has ousted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and replaced him with CIA Director Mike Pompeo, orchestrating a major change to his national security team amid delicate negotiations with North Korea, White House officials said Tuesday. Trump last Friday asked Tillerson to step aside, and the embattled top diplomat cut short his trip to Africa on Monday to return to Washington.

Pompeo will replace him at the State Department, and Gina Hapsel — the deputy director at the CIA — will succeed him at the CIA, becoming the first woman to run the spy agency, if confirmed.

The president — who has long clashed will Tillerson, who he believes is “too establishment” in his thinking — felt it was important to make the change now, as he prepares for talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, as well as upcoming trade negotiations, three White House officials said.

The jury is still out on what all this means. Gary Cohn just stepped down as the Director of the National Economic Council. Rumor has it, because of a disagreement over tariffs. Trump wants tariffs. Cohn understands math. Cohn is no longer there. Minus one for Trump.

Tillerson has been rumored to be on the chopping block for months. Presumably because of clashes with the president. It's hard to know whose anonymous sources are telling the truth, and who is rolling the dice in "Celebrity Apprentice: White House." I guess "draining the swamp" means first draining the White House in a constant round of not-Russian collusion roulette. We're only in season one of Trump in Da House. Perhaps there's money in guessing who gets tossed off the island next. If Sarah Huckabee Sanders goes, I'm setting the building on fire.

Are you wondering what this sudden change means for the NoKo negotiations and the trade deals? #MeToo. Pompeo still needs a swearing in: holding one hand over his heart and one hand on Trump's covefe. I can't see the Senate moving too quickly. Without a Secretary of State, I don't know whose in charge until we have one.
