Normally, when we're covering Rob Reiner, it has to do with one of his chronic brainfarting episodes. He seemingly can't go more than a few days without proving his TV nickname to be fitting. Well, sooner or later even a Meathead like Reiner has to get something right.

In his latest interview, he slammed celebrities like Robert De Niro who make vulgar public gestures against our apricot-hued head honcho:

Director Rob Reiner denounced Robert De Niro and other celebrities for their remarks against President Trump, saying it only helps the president.

During an exclusive interview with The Hill’s new TV show “Rising,” which aired on Wednesday, Reiner addressed the controversy surrounding actor Robert De Niro’s “F---Trump” speech during the Tony Awards on Sunday.

“You’re helping Trump by saying ‘F--- Trump,’ because he can say 'look at these people, these elitists,'” Reiner told “Rising” co-hosts Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton.

Reiner said he thinks celebrities are ultimately hurting Democrats when they go on expletive-ridden rants against Trump.

“There’s a very fine line between energizing the base and energizing the other side,” Reiner said.

Well, there's something I never expected to see. Robbie Reiner opening his pie-hole and something resembling an intelligent remark emerging. Consider my mind blown.

Rob is correct. Stuck-up celebrities competing to see who can slam Trump in the least classy way isn't doing the left's cause any favors. Though, Reiner isn't exactly immune from such things himself. Let's not forget his history of calling Trump voters bigots. Throwing hypocritical shade at pro-Trump television characters. Comparing a lost election to Pearl Harbor.

Ever since the Donald slew the pantsuited succubus Hillary, Hollywood lefties have been behaving like children. In doing so they're only turning more people away from the left. Here's hoping they keep it up.
