Well, Todd Nickerson the pedophile has responded to the “right wing vile” backlash he got for coming out to the world as someone who’s sexually attracted to children. Sorry I’m not sorry. If you’re sexually attracted to children, you’re a sick bastard. And not one for whom I have much, shall we say “tolerance”?

Again, the implication in the very title is that somehow kids are protected by willful ignorance. What reality does Crowder live in where things are made better by refusing to understand them? Never mind that his solution to sex offenders is to shoot them in the head, which goes beyond even the Old Testament law of an eye for an eye and warrants a comparison to the Nazis (who did execute sex offenders—not to mention the disabled—alongside gays and Jews); his solution to even confessing the attraction is exile from society. As if I haven’t already largely exiled myself. Seriously, ask my friends and family; I’m a notorious recluse who only ventures into public when absolutely necessary.
Firstly, it’s Steven Crowder. If you’re going to insult me, do it properly. Secondly, I think Paul Joseph Watson posted the article at InfoWars, which I understand to be run by Alex Jones. I have no actual affiliation. Okay? Okay. Thirdly, I find it hilarious that this PEDOPHILE is looking down his nose at a filthy “right winger” like me. This tells you everything you need to know about the left. Being Conservative is literally viewed as more offensive than the fondling of children (allegedly). And comparing himself to the helpless Jews of Nazi Germany? Talk about a victim complex. You know who’s more helpless/victimized than pedophiles? The kids they rape, en masse. Crazy, I know!
Fourthly, and most importantly, Todd here is actually wrong about my assertion. I totally understand pedophiles. That’s why I advocated they be shot. See? But again, context matters. I never said that anyone with pedophile-like thoughts should be shot. What I said was…

Here’s the crazy thing, in my original article, I actually never advocated the execution of men with pedophile-like thoughts. I advocated that they be removed from society so that they can no longer can harm children.
Once you start sexualizing children, you’ve crossed that point. I’m sure some of you pedophiles have had some really tough breaks in life too. That’s sad. I don’t care. Once you become a threat to our kids (and yes, any sexual attraction to a 10 year old is to be seen as a threat), you are no longer welcome in society. Period. Gone. Done. No talking. No understanding. You’re out.
The only counseling session you get is with a cocked hammer and a three second count-down giving you a headstart to flee the village.
Again, I 100% stand by my position. I’ll walk it back precisely zero. Our duty is to protect our children first. Finally, my issues is not as much with this sick, hobbling bag of excrement as it is with Salon.com. Why are they so hell-bent on normalizing pedophilia? This is the second time they’ve given a pedophile a platform to sell his sob story. Does Salon.com KNOW that Todd may be an active, pro-contact pedophile? Shouldn’t they launch an investigation? I mean, this is criminal. And not like “oh he called me a tranny” hate-speech, criminal, but really criminal.
Final note: want to know just how far leftist, situational-ethics have taken us? Well, this same pedophile complained when Jimmy Kimmel pulled a Halloween prank on his show that made a couple kids cry.

What is funny, and a rather ridiculous, is that the same sentence in the law books that protects gays from discrimination also protects pedophiles from discrimination. This does not protect their actions, but it makes it illegal, for example, to not hire someone for a job because they are a pedo in the same way it makes it illegal to not hire someone because they are gay.

I do believe that there are pedos out there that are suffering from mental illness, as pedophilia, as defined by the APA, is more of a compulsion disorder and not a sexual orientation. Those pedos that want to try and seek help to ‘cure’ their pedophilia have my support. Those suffering from pedophilia should be able to seek help and get the help they need. However, this is not to be misconstrued with any sort of acceptance of pedophilia or ‘understanding’, this is meant to express that pedophilia is something to be rid of, and something to shun.
I think we should also stop referring to some things as pedophilia in the same context as others. To clarify, once a kid hits puberty, they are likely to be interested in other people. This is normal. There is nothing wrong with a 14 year old boy liking a 13 year old girl. However, this is technically considered pedophilia. There are multiple stories, going back years, of kids in their teens being arrested or charged for exploring sexuality with kids around their own age. While I am strongly against kids sexting or sharing nude pics or anything like that, it needs to be treated differently than just as pedophilia. It is a different issue. For example, I had a friend who went to jail for having sex with a 17 year old girl. At the time, he was not much older than her, somewhere around 19 or 20. She also told him that she was 18 and lied to him about her age and other things. However, he went to prison because of how strict the laws were and there was no proof that she lied.
My own wife had just turned 18 when I met her. I was 24 at the time, and we met on myspace. I didnt know how old she was, I just knew she was over 18 because thats what I set the search parameters to, we actually started talking because she had a van gogh picture as her background and I had a violin picture. We are now married with two kids. However, had I met her just three months earlier, I would have been in the legal threat range. I would have been considered a pedophile.
The reason I bring this up is because we are diluting the seriousness of the issue. By arresting 16 year old boys for sexting with his 17 year old girlfriend, or arresting 20 year olds for dating 17 year olds, we are distracting from the guys like this asshole Todd who goes after prepubescent girls and talks online about how to be a better pedophile, and so on. We need to better define was a pedophile is so that we can avoid falling into the trap of getting into a convoluted debate about it. We need to define what a pedophile is to a stringent degree so that we can make sure to be able to attack it directly, at its base and source and being able to focus on it. Go after the guys grooming 10 year olds and not the high school sweethearts going to prom and getting a little too handsy with one another.
I think a pedophile ought to be defined as someone who takes advantage of innocence. Someone who robs another of their own, adult, mature journey into psychological and psychical intimacy.
technically, pedophile is defined as an attraction to prepubescent girls or boys. ephebophile is when it’s a preference for girls or boys from around 15 to 19. but most people just lump them all under pedophile if they have preferences for anyone under the age of 18 because that is what the law defines as an adult. (also, i find it questionable as to whether most 18 year olds act like adults, because they don’t)
I find that reasonable. I would add this: I don’t condemn someone for simply having attractions, as I don’t support the idea of thought-crime and emotion-crime. However, if you have sex with a child, you must be punished.
Obviously there still has to be boundaries in employment. You can’t hire someone as a teacher that is going to be masturbating over his students. Nor should a non-convicted struggling pedophile want to be in that position. That is like hiring an alcoholic to tend bar or run a liquor store. I don’t buy into the argument that they should be allowed near children since they can’t actually solicit them.

Define “act on it”. Is looking at a comic book wherein drawings of children are portrayed sexually “acting on it” in a manner that forfeits your life? Even if no children are being hurt? Is being the person who draws the pictures in those comic books “acting on it”?

As a bank robbery survivor, I think movies depicting positive portrayals of bank robberies should be BANNED and anyone caught talking about how they’d rob a bank if they could get away with it deserves to be treated as if they’d actually robbed said bank.

As a survivor who was 4 years old at the time I can truly say there is no “innocent ignorance”. I went through my whole life haunted, wondering why I hated men, why I thought sex was something horrible and shameful. Panic attacks were just the beginning and I still have difficulty with intimacy and trust.
I’ve come a long way, and now only to hear pedophiles are the new maryter?

Up-front info: I am not defending Mr. Nickerson. I am a conservative, a Navy veteran of the “police action” in southeast Asia, and father of two young men (also Navy) and a wonderful daughter.
That said, calling him names is bad form. The truth is, no one reaches the age of 12 or 13 and sits down at a desk with a clean sheet of paper and a sharp pencil, draws a line down the center of the page and writes “Straight” at the top of one column and “Gay”, or “Pedophile” or “Necro” — or whatever — at the top of the other column, then writes the pros and cons for each before reaching a decision on which sexuality to adopt.
We do not choose our desires. Even within “normal” heterosexuality there is considerable variation. Do gentlemen really prefer blondes? If so, why? Mr. Nickerson is more to be pitied for his desires than reviled.
That said, he clearly and quite deliberately “came out” so that he could be a lightning rod for “right-wing” criticism. And of course that will make him the darling of the Salon crowd. It’s a tried-and-true technique: start with garnering sympathy, then gently move everyone toward acceptance by repeatedly making false comparisons (“gay is the new black”), vilifying and marginalizing those with conventional, traditional values or views.
Nickerson should be pitied for his condition, but he should not be praised for his agitation.
Pedophilia doesn’t land in the range of normal adult sexuality, anymore than necrophilia does. Unlike necrophilia there is a living victim of a pedophiles who have to live with the effects long after the event. I’ll save my pity for the necrophiliac and retain my disgust for the pedophile who is looking for acceptance.
The idea that “no one chooses” to be a pedophile is tantamount to saying, “No one chooses anything”, which is a defense/excuse for any abhorrent actions. “I didn’t choose to be a murderer.” “it’s not my fault I’m too lazy to find work.” “God made me a rapist.”
I have sympathy for someone who had these compulsions but doesn’t act on them. There is definitely something wrong with the person, but he at least realizes it IS wrong, and is even more wrong to act.

I’m a survivor of child molestation and I’m a mom who acted to protect my own children, and if I ever caught someone molesting my children, they’d be lucky if the police arrived in time to save them. And I would never trust a known pedophile (whether they had acted on it or not) to be alone with my children because you simply don’t tempt fate. I don’t invite alcoholics over and show them my liquor cabinet, either. But that doesn’t mean they’re horrible people. You can’t always decide what dark urges lure you. You can decide whether or not to act on them. Temptation alone isn’t sin.

Unfortunately you are the minority of leftists. I may not agree with you on certain political issues as I am not a Socialist, but attraction to children is not something to be acted upon. I could also identify with you to a degree as I did not fit in either.
I an a 41 year old heterosexual male with a wife and kids. I have no abnormal desires but I see how they can start. I was molested as a 6 year old and felt like an alien as a child. I had knowledge that others didn’t. I struggled with pornography and my thought life. Then when I was in the 8th grade Ted got the death penalty. I decided then and there that no matter how hard I struggled with sexual things I would never let myself hurt anyone. Better a mill stone was hung around my neck then I would cause one of these little ones to sin. All of this stuff is selfishness. I believe there is a heaven and a hell.
The thing is, all of the arguments used by the “Gay” movement can be used for pedophiles and any other perversion. I am thinking that polygamy will happen next after SSM, but this may not be far behind. It’s time to call a thing what a thing is but I am afraid we are about 100 years too late. Western Civilization is decaying from the inside out and has been for a long time but it seems the last 15 years things have really sped up. If it keeps going like this we might have to pay jizyah to keep our heads.
Actually, before polygamy, we’ve been seeing the “throuple” come up quite a bit. Similar to polygamy in the concept that there are multiples spouses, but in this case, all are married TO EACH OTHER, not just one being married to many who are otherwise unconnected. This is what I’ve been saying for quite some times, ever since the “gay” movement truly took force in this country — that, regardless of the intentions behind their aims, it would open very inappropriate doors, and quickly. This is the natural result of that, of not thinking ahead and only demanding we be indulged in the here-and-now with whatever we happen to want. A lot of us saw this coming, and tried to warn people, and no one would listen. And frankly, one of these days (very tragically) pedophilia will be regarded as more acceptable. The fact that ANYONE is defending their claims is alarming, and that number will only grow, in the same way gay marriage advocacy grew.
Once again, we aren’t paying attention. We’re too wrapped up in ourselves to see past the ends of our noses. (I say this generally, of course, not specifically.) We are rapidly going downhill, and we’re too blinded by misguided self-interest to see it.
