You gotta feel for CNN. All their efforts to knock the funny coifed president from his position have bellyflopped. With the Russian pee scandal fizzling, and whatever the heck is going on with Mueller and Cohen losing traction with whoever cared about it, CNN tried smacking Trump for signing MAGA hats belonging to the troops. Over Christmas. Here to tinkle all over CNN's parade, the Air Force.

STUTTGART, Germany -- U.S. Air Forces Europe said troops holding "Make America Great Again" hats during President Donald Trump's visit Thursday to Ramstein Air Base were not in violation of military rules that prohibit taking part in partisan activities while in uniform.

"There is no rule against Airmen bringing personal items to be signed by the president," USAFE said in a statement.

No, military members aren't permitted to be partisan while in uniform. But they weren't. Here's the kicker:

USAFE said troops held the hats for signing, but did not wear them while in uniform.

There. That's it. CNN and their media cohorts tried making a giant stink over troops supporting Trump with their hats. Except that's fine. Had they worn the hats, different story.
