College students have completely lost it over the election. Actually, to be fair to the election, college students have completely lost it in general (see Higher Education: Yale Midterm Optional… For Students Traumatized by Election and UofM Comforts ‘Traumatized’ Pro-Hillary Students…With Legos And Play-Doh?!). One Texas Tech professor decided to poke some fun at the outrage and the need for safe spaces...

"After reading the article and reflecting on my often repeated statement to you that "I don't care how you FEEL, I care what you THINK," it occurred to me that perhaps I have been a bit too harsh. What's funny here is the people on the East Coast overreacting and/or disapproving of "flyover country" is one of the reasons why Donald Trump is president.

Anyone who gets upset by what professor Terry McInturff did has zero sense of humor. Because sorry, college snowflakes having tantrums over someone elected president, a full week or two weeks after the fact, is ripe for mockery. Some of these "students" in days past have needed actual child toys to assuage their delicate feelings. Even SNL has had a go at adults in need of coddling. Theoretically college is supposed to help prepare adults for their future careers. Theoretically high school is to prepare children to be adults. Theoretically parents are supposed to potty train their children. Trickle down failure.

Yet it made news that a tech professor in Texas teased "adults," who would rather play My Little Pony than come to terms with reality. A reality which occurs every four years. In the real world. Someone give these students a bear hug. From an actual bear.

Hats off to this professor. We're just sorry the message needed spreading.
